Considerations

If your goal is emergency power for critical systems such as lights, refrigerators, freezers and sump pumps, you can consider generators in the 8KW to 12KW range.  These generators will provide enough power to sustain critical systems, but you may not be able to run a hot water heater, kitchen appliances and central AC/heat concurrently.  To properly size your generator, we will need to complete a load analysis of the systems you expect to run off the generator.  The link below provides additional information about the 8KW, 10KW and 12KW systems.
